remain on Borneo island, down from 31,300 in 2004. Based on that estimate, it
concludes Borneo's orangutans could be extinct by 2011.
The giant panda is seriously endangered. Only 1,600 wild giant pandas live in
nature reserves in China, and 217 are in captivity.
